• Further exchange of more dynamic data - Information can be shared on lesson attendance, achievement and behaviour.  A student’s central school will be provided with attendance information on whether the pupil attended the lesson off-site.  
• Duty of care simplified - When your student leaves your school gate you can still retain responsibility with the sharing of information within the partnership as the attendance and performance monitoring can be shared and acted upon.
• Simplify administrative processes - Information is available instantly within SIMS so staff are not chasing other schools for information on attendance and progress – it is there automatically for the school to view.
• Data protection - Privacy settings restrict student records to authorised parties only. This is particularly effective as it will only share data about students that other schools have a legitimate right to see, fulfilling the needs for privacy, and data protection.

SIMS Partnership Xchange meets the needs of schools wishing to collaborate with other schools or colleges. It will enable schools to share key learner information such as contact details and special educational needs with all schools where the child studies. 

Attendance and assessment marks are added from wherever the learner is studying and will combine to form a single report of progress for learners and their parents.
