In loco parentis…it should be as easy to deliver across five institutions as one.
Duty of care implications answered. Ensuring that everyone knows that:
- All teachers in all locations and at all times have access to essential data on visiting students as well as their own.
- Questions on the location and attendance of any student can be answered immediately.
- Individual or group performance can be measured, analysed and reported on with ease.
- Heightened parental concerns, and the consequent demand for real-time information.
- How to get all the information, to and from dozens of different contacts across multiple locations.
Key features
- Sharing pupil contact data in real time - Key students’ data such as name, contact address and details of special educational needs is made available to other schools or colleges that the student will attend. SIMS Partnership Xchange will automatically maintain that data with any changes that happen in the central pupil record, so changes need only be made once and will be reflected in all schools where a student is learning.
- Further exchange of more dynamic data - Information can be shared on lesson attendance, achievement and behaviour. A student’s central school will be provided with attendance information on whether the pupil attended the lesson off-site.
- Duty of care simplified - When your student leaves your school gate you can still retain responsibility with the sharing of information within the partnership as the attendance and performance monitoring can be shared and acted upon.
- Simplify administrative processes - Information is available instantly within SIMS so staff are not chasing other schools for information on attendance and progress – it is there automatically for the school to view.
- Data protection - Privacy settings restrict student records to authorised parties only. This is particularly effective as it will only share data about students that other schools have a legitimate right to see, fulfilling the needs for privacy, and data protection.
- Reporting to parents – SIMS Partnership Xchange collates student performance records from all sites to enable the home school to provide parents with accurate and complete student reports.
An answer that’s as easy to deliver teaching and learning across five institutions as
one
SIMS Partnership Xchange meets the needs of schools wishing to collaborate with other schools or colleges. It will enable schools to share key learner information such as contact details and special educational needs with all schools where the child studies.
Attendance and assessment marks are added from wherever the learner is studying and will combine to form a single report of progress for learners and their parents.
